About Us:
Founded in 1996, Tapestry Music is a B.C.-based, family-owned music store with locations in Victoria, Vancouver, and White Rock. We specialize in instrument sales for all budgets, school rentals, repairs a full range of print music and accessories.
What We're Looking For:
- Ability to play and demonstrate a band instrument or orchestral string instrument. A knowledge of brands and models is an asset.An overview of what we offer is on our website: tapestrymusic.com
- If you do not have a musical background or knowledge of musical instruments, please do not apply for this position.
- Availability to work Saturday and Sunday (These are currently the days we are looking for - additional days may become available in the future).
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- A positive attitude and ability to stay composed in any situation.
- A solid work ethic with a proactive approach.
- Kindness and enthusiasm for helping customers.
- Confidence in recommending solutions and guiding purchasing decisions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous retail or sales experience is an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Weekend hours: 10-6 Saturdays and 11-5 Sundays
- Assist customers in selecting and renting musical instruments tailored to their needs.
- Demonstrate products, highlighting key features and benefits.
- Answer incoming calls professionally and provide helpful support.
- Follow up on orders with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth transactions.
- Troubleshoot customer concerns with patience and problem-solving skills.
- Stay up to date on product offerings, store policies, and industry trends.
- Participate in weekly meetings and training sessions to enhance your expertise.
- Help maintain an inviting and organized shopping environment through merchandising.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
