Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation and construction, with a focus on tile laying. Duties
- Install tile flooring, walls, and backsplashes according to project specifications and design plans.
- Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout and design requirements.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and fitting tiles.
- Apply caulking and grout to ensure a finished look and seal joints properly.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the installation process.
Requirements
MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE IN GOOD STANDING - DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DON’T HAVE A DRIVERS LICENSE AS THIS IS A DEAL BREAKER
- Proven experience in tile laying and flooring installation.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques and materials
- Proficiency with hand tools commonly used in tile setting.
- Measuring and marking
- Cutting and shaping tiles, applying mortar, grouting
- Removing and replacing damages tiles
- Creative decorative designs for artistic effects
- Basic carpentry skills are preferred.
- Experience in caulking and finishing work is advantageous.
- A maintenance person background is a plus, showcasing versatility in various repair tasks.
