Job Title: Venue Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Venue Manager to oversee daily operations, coordinate events, and ensure a seamless guest experience at the Avenue Room Wedding & Event Centre in the heart of downtown Saskatoon. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, hospitality or event management experience, and a passion for creating memorable experiences for clients and guests.

The Avenue Room Wedding & Event Centre is owned and operated under Infinity Management Inc. Infinity Events & Décor is just one of our many subsidiaries that are heavily involved in the events industry and encompass a wide range of event related services and activities that include but are not limited to: weddings, charity & non profit functions, large scale corporate events, jewelry, live florals, photography, videography, event venue management and operation.
Overview of responsibilities:
- Sales of the venue space by educating clients about the venue features and in house packages to secure client contracts and if applicable cross selling Infinity Events & Décor products and services
- Supervise and schedule event staff, including bartenders, servers, cleaners, and setup crews
- Oversee all aspects of venue operations, including bookings, staffing, maintenance, and event coordination
- Ensure the venue is properly set up and maintained before, during, and after events
- Provide support to clients by scheduling appointments and answering questions via phone, email, and on site consults and regularly scheduled tours.
- Uphold health, safety, and licensing standards, including emergency procedures
- Discuss and plan event / wedding theme, venue setup and floor plans and other requirements with client
· Manage and oversee events on the day of, including problem-solving, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, client and organizing vendors
· Perform post-event tasks promptly such as connecting with clients to ensure satisfaction, reviewing invoice and documenting issues and resolutions.
· Communicate with marketing team to create effective advertisements for venue
- Monitor budgets and expenses.
- Daytime, evenings and weekend work required as needed in order to be physically available on event day
- Act as bartender, server, cleaner when needed
Qualifications:
- Impressive negotiating and communication skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
- Knowledge of trending colour palettes and design trends
- Basic understanding of different religious practices
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Proficient in Google Workspace and event software or booking platforms
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
- Knowledge of event logistics, licensing requirements, and vendor coordination
- Ability to lead a large team and delegate tasks effectively
- Lift up to 80lbs (36kgs)
- Meticulous attention to detail and highly creative
- Financial savvy, with the ability to accurately process quotes, and muti payment format invoices
Assets (Optional but Beneficial):
- Experience managing weddings, corporate events, and private functions
- Familiarity with health & safety regulations and building codes
- CPR or first aid certification

- $18-$22/hr

· Full Time 40 + hours per week
