Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests to the Rosemead House, and the Lounge/Dining upon arrival in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist guests with check-ins and check-outs with luggage assistance
- Manage traffic in the driveway and valet all vehicles as needed
- Conduct inspections to ensure the cleanliness and organization of all public spaces, including the lobby, corridors, and outdoor areas.
- Promptly address guest inquiries, deliver exceptional customer service, and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Support front desk operations during the night, including managing guest requests and answering phones.
- Perform safety and security checks to safeguard guests and the property.
- Undertake light maintenance duties and report any concerns to management.
- Uphold the hotel's cleanliness and excellence standards consistently.
- Demonstrate ability to work well independently with minimal supervision and as a team-player with proven success in relationship building
- Walking and standing for extended period of times.
- Lifting of objects, baggage at upwards of 50 Lbs
- Check the bell stand inventory and ensure it is fully stocked with luggage carts, tags, and other necessary supplies.
- Assist guests with unloading their luggage from vehicles and transporting it to their rooms
- Offer information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Escort guests to their rooms, providing information about the features of the room and ensuring their comfort.
- Offer assistance with storing luggage and belongings in guest rooms.
- Provide recommendations for dining options, activities, and attractions in the area.
- Offer to make dinner reservations, arrange transportation, or provide any other concierge services as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bell stand area and lobby.
- Monitor the lobby and entrance areas for arriving guests who may need assistance.
- Respond promptly to guest requests for luggage handling, transportation, or other services. Coordinate with the front desk and other hotel staff to ensure seamless guest arrivals and departures.
- Assist guests with special requests or accommodation, including guests with disabilities or special needs.
- Offer assistance with valet parking services
- Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to the hotel's grooming standards
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the hospitality sector, particularly in guest services.
- Must be a team player.
- Keen attention to detail and dedication to delivering high-quality work.
- Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional demeanor
- Must be able to push/pull up to 100 lbs. and lift/carry up to 20lbs multiple times a day
- Must be fluent in English, a second language is an asset.
- Be comfortable wearing a Bluetooth earpiece
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and snow
- Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in a busy, dynamic environment while remaining calm
- Possess a valid BC Class 5 drivers’ license (must provide a drivers’ abstract reflecting a history of responsible driving)
- Shifts will vary and include the following times: 7am-3:30pm, 11am-7:30pm, 3pm-11:30am
