ABOUT THE POSITION
Job Overview
Clean and service the assigned public areas according to established quality standards and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and service assigned areas according to established standards and procedures which may include public restrooms, lobby areas, public phone areas, vending areas, and back-of-house areas on hotel property.
- Strip and wax floors as needed, clean and polish all furniture, railings, tabletops, and mirrors in assigned areas.
- Report to the supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
- Collects trash throughout the hotel including offices and restrooms.
- Delivers towels and necessary supplies to pool and fitness areas.
- Respond to guest complaints, and special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
- Report, turn in, and/or log any lost and found items according to established procedures.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned. In carrying out your duties you will follow all Company and Brand Standards
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum: Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Some housekeeping experience and the ability to speak English preferred.

This job requires the ability to perform the following:
- Carrying, pushing, pulling, or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
- Remain stationary for extended periods.
- Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
- Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling.

Other:
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees.
- Basic reading, writing, and math abilities are utilized often when reading assignments, completing checklists, and replacing linens and amenities.
- Must be able to work any days of the week, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to work evenings. Schedules differ each week.
Work Area: Hallways, guestrooms, staff area.
COMPENSATION
Pay Rate
- $19 per hour during probationary period, $20 after successfully passing probation
