Job Title: Tree Work & Snow Work Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of tree care tasks and snow removal operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in both arboriculture, landscaping and snow management, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Tree Work:
- Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal in accordance with industry standards.
- Use appropriate tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and climbing gear.
- Identify and manage potential hazards related to tree work.
- Ensure all work sites are left clean and safe, following proper disposal procedures for debris.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices to minimize risk of injury or property damage.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain services and provide recommendations.
Snow Work:
- Perform snow removal tasks, including plowing, shovelling, and salting as required.
- Operate snow removal equipment such as snowplows, spreaders, and skid steers.
- Maintain and inspect snow removal equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage and store snow removal materials, such as salt and sand.
- Ensure walkways, driveways, and parking lots are safe and accessible during winter weather.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently manage snow removal operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or training is a plus.
- Proven experience in tree work, including pruning, removal, and safety practices.
- Experience with snow removal equipment and techniques.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to tree work and snow removal.
- Ability to operate and maintain specialized tools and machinery.
- Excellent physical stamina and strength to handle manual labor tasks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with clients and team members.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, overnights during the snow season, and holidays, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varying weather conditions.
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing, lifting, and operating machinery.
