Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring safe and accessible roadways during winter weather conditions. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with power tools and hand tools, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Operate snow plow equipment to clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and sidewalks.
- Maintain equipment by performing regular inspections, troubleshooting issues, and conducting necessary repairs.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to assist in snow removal operations.
- Dig, irrigate, build, and maintain landscapes as needed during off-season or non-snow events.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of snow removal tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols while operating machinery and performing maintenance tasks.
- Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to changing situations.
Experience
- Proven experience operating snow plow equipment or similar machinery is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including gardening, digging, and irrigation is a plus.
- Experience using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions while maintaining a focus on safety.
