Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Redwater Facility is actively hiring an Instrumentation & Electrical Tradesperson to join the team. This position reports to the Day Foreman, Instrumentation and Electrical in the Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit (NBU) part of Pembina’s Operations Division.
The Redwater facility has several fractionators for processing paraffinic and olefinic natural gas liquids. In addition to this, the site includes significant cavern storage assets and cogeneration gas turbines.
The Tradesperson role will be involved in maintaining Electrical equipment at the Redwater Facility. And the successful candidate must be hardworking, self-motivated, and eager to be part of a growing maintenance team.
The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Redwater
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Champion Safety: Promote and uphold Pembina’s "Zero by Choice" safety culture and "Life Saving Rules,” ensuring a safe working environment for all;
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining Electrical equipment in accordance with Redwater’s preventative maintenance program and perform reactive maintenance as required;
- Project Support: Providing technical assistance on new projects and design changes;
- Project Collaboration: Assisting with installation, commissioning, start up, and maintenance of new equipment;
- Innovation: Continuously adapt to emerging technologies and evolving technical requirements by actively acquiring new skills, applying innovative solutions, and integrating feedback into daily problem-solving;
- Teamwork: Participate in an on-call rotation for responding to after-hour equipment and/or operational problems as well as working in close collaboration with operations, engineering, and the other maintenance technicians;
- Continuous Learning: Demonstrate learning agility by actively seeking feedback, adapting to new information quickly, and applying learnings to improve performance and deliver results in a dynamic environment; and
- Foster an Inclusive Environment: Participating in an inclusive and diverse workplace.
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Certificate: Provincial Electrician Journeyperson Certificate with relevant industry experience. Dual ticket considered an asset;
- Technical Expertise: Ability to troubleshoot electrical equipment effectively;
- High Voltage: Creating switching orders and actively switching equipment;
- Power Supply: Ability to troubleshoot and perform online testing of UPS systems;
- Variable Drives: Variable Frequency Drive troubleshooting and maintenance experience;
- SAP Experience: Experience using SAP is highly desirable;
- Switch Gear: Medium and low voltage switch gear experience required;
- Communication: Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills;
- Learning Agility: Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, or processes and apply them effectively in a fast-paced environment; and
- Driver’s License: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing. You will also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
