Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to operate various types of tow trucks, including flatbed models. This role requires excellent driving skills, customer service abilities, and a commitment to ensuring the safe transport of vehicles. Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks safely and efficiently to transport vehicles to designated locations.
- Perform automotive diagnostics and basic mechanical repairs as needed.
- Load and unload vehicles using appropriate techniques to prevent damage.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
- Manage conflicts effectively while maintaining professionalism during roadside assistance calls.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and vehicle condition reports.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on tow trucks to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair preferred.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and forklifts is a plus.
- Ability to perform automotive diagnostics and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Excellent conflict management skills with a focus on customer service.
- Previous experience as a tow truck driver or in a related field is highly desirable.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
