Job Summary
Sushi Field Japanese Restaurant is now hiring a part-time or full-time Sushi Chef.
Duties
- Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, with attention to detail and artistry.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality by conducting regular inventory checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Assist in menu development by suggesting new sushi items or seasonal offerings.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on proper sushi preparation techniques and food handling practices.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Able to perform multi-tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
- At least 12 months work experiences as a sushi chef.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices, including proper food handling and storage techniques.
- Experience with meal preparation in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Familiarity with various types of fish, seafood, and other ingredients used in sushi making.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and provide exceptional service to customers.
