Summary
As a Surveyor at CGL Contracting Ltd, you will play a vital role in our projects by providing accurate civil project survey and data analysis. This position is based in the beautiful Okanagan region, where you can enjoy a balanced work-life experience surrounded by nature.
Responsibilities
- Provide work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate
- measurement and correct installation of materials by field staff
- Provide quality control by checking for accuracy at all control points,
- benchmarks, grid-lines, survey marks, elevations and stakeout points. Will also
- monitor the site for correct elevations and locations.
- Produce asbuilt drawings
- Prep work for field layout
- Create files for machine control
- Operate and maintain surveying equipment
- Ensure updates to survey equipment are generated
- Ensure the safety of survey equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Surveyor or in a similar role within the civil construction industry.
- Experience working with Trimble GPS equipment and familiar with all constellations
- Clear understanding of adjusting survey to actual field conditions
- Clear understanding of obtaining contract quantities and application of scope
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
