What We Offer
- Work a minimum of four shifts during Crankworx and enjoy one Trackside VIP ticket to either the RockShox Canadian Open DH event OR the Red Bull Joyride event depending on shift dates.
- Wage is $21 per hour.
Crankworx Surveyors gather key information about the guest experience during Crankworx by conducting face-to-face intercept surveys with visitors on the Village Stroll using an iPad. This position requires individuals who are outgoing, comfortable engaging with people along the Village Stroll, and able to work independently while collecting accurate data. Surveyors must be reliable, self-motivated, and prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Tourism Whistler ambassador, living our purpose and vision with passion & energy, achievement and respect
- Must be available for at least four shifts during Crankworx (Friday, August 8 to Sunday, August 17), plus a mandatory half day of training on Wednesday, August 6.
- Shifts are four to six hours, taking place 10:15am to 2:15pm, 10:30am to 4:30pm, or 2pm to 6pm
- Surveying must be done in all weather conditions
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and comfortable approaching visitors and generating rapport
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to walk/stand for five hours, and lift/carry equipment to set up tent and iPad station
- Ability to operate an iPad to conduct surveys
