What You’ll Do?
As a site surveyor you will perform initial site audit to obtain and communicate the necessary technical data on proposed customers’ property to the Design team to prepare a solar system design and provide permit-ready documents needed to facilitate the installation of solar systems.

Responsibilities:
- Travel to project sites to obtain the necessary information to complete technical design documents for a solar system
- Develop a positive relationship with customers to establish rapport and to gather facilities assessment data as needed
- Conduct a physical site audit using auditing tools, including a tablet/phone with apps, measuring devices, drone and other related equipment
- Upload site audit documents as needed to coordinate with the design/engineering department to produce permit ready documents no later than midnight on the day of the Site Audit
- Assess shading from trees, buildings, and other obstructions
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures for Site Audit to ensure a smooth handoff between departments
- Provide and maintain a current driver's license and a clean driving record to safely operate a company vehicle
- Develop relationships with the sales team, design professionals, and subcontractors to support the business activities
- Gathers detailed structural data on multiple types of buildings
- Identifies issues on homes that may interfere with our installations or the production
- Gathers all electrical data required by the company
- All other tasks and duties reasonably associated with this position.
Requirements:
- A minimum of one years’ experience in a discipline related to construction
- Site Audit experience preferred
- Solar installation experience is preferred
- Valid drivers license
- Clean drivers abstract
- Ability to understand, read, and comprehend contract documents, plans and written and verbal communication skills required to prepare site audit documents and conduct site audit meetings with customers
- Must be physically able to work on roofs and in attics, as well as lift 50+ pounds on occasion
- Must be able to travel to different offices if needed
- Must be able to work different schedules that involve Mondays- to Saturdays
- Must be able to operate a Drone
- Must be able to follow all safety procedures required by the company. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be fluent in English
- Read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and emails
- Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of a High School Degree
- Previous Solar experience is a preferred but not required
- Ability to adapt and work in an open, fast-paced, collaborative start-up environment
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
