About the Role
This position presents an opportunity to participate in a growth-oriented company and to gain exposure to a unique industry. This role is ideally suited to a motivated individual seeking a challenging opportunity. The successful candidate will work closely with the Treasury Operations group during this term, supporting the day-to-day activities of Treasury operations in various local and international banking platforms and supporting process improvement initiatives to optimize cash position of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and managing the company’s daily liquidity position to assist management in making appropriate decisions regarding cash forecast, cash receipts and disbursements.
- Assisting the Treasury with month-end and quarter-end closing activities and any related supporting documentation.
- Preparing wire transfers and intercompany cash transfers in the Treasury system and in various banking platforms.
- Preparing bank account documentation and assisting in the management of bank accounts for Brookfield Renewable and its related companies.
- Preparing monthly and ad-hoc financial, compliance or audit reports.
- Managing Treasury shared email box to support the team with meeting deadlines and completing inter-departmental activities.
Knowledge Required
- Currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary program;
- Completed at least one year of University Studies in Commerce or Business Administration.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook tools;
- Ability to quickly master new software, specifically our TMS;
Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively.
