Are you an enthusiastic, creative, warm and caring 1:1 assistant looking for a special and unique opportunity? Brighton School, is the leading private school for students with learning challenges in Toronto. We're looking for two positive, proactive and experienced professionals to provide 1:1 support to assigned students from September 2025 - June, 2026 (with possible renewal for following year). Duties would include helping the student learn classroom and school routines, complete independent seat work or computer work; adapting or modifying academic work; assisting with self-regulation; supporting social skills development; taking data and writing daily reports. Able to work as part of a collaborative team in implementing classroom strategies and procedures that support the success of the student.
Qualifications:
- College diploma or university degree in behaviour science, child/youth related program
- 3+ years experience working with students with developmental disabilities and/or minor behaviour challenges
- Knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis/behaviour Management is an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate, with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.5 per week
