A1-Global College of Health, Business & Technology, Hamilton is recruiting an experienced and ambitious placement coordinator to join our team. Candidates should be open-minded individuals who see the potential in people and who believe in lifelong learning. You will be the initial contact for students enrolling in programs like PSW, ECA and similar programs where students are required and will be going for placements. This is a versatile, high-impact role responsible for ensuring students are progressing smoothly through their programs while supporting facility supervisors, compliance, and the team behind the scenes. This is an in-person role.
We’re looking for someone with strong ownership, critical thinking, and work ethic - someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is comfortable working across programs, tracking student progress, and helping build structure as we grow.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, reliable, and dedicated; and who understands the importance of accurate records, proactive problem-solving, and collaboration with facility supervisors, instructors and staff.

Roles and Responsibilities including but not limited to the following (may vary by focus):
- Liaise with Faculty, Business Affairs, Administration and Employment Specialist to validate student's completion of externship pre-requisites including academic, financial obligations, medical and police clearance documentation and resume
- Connect with new facilities like Long Term Care, Retirement homes and similar institutions where students can be sent for their Clinical and Community placement hours and secure them as placement partners.
- Work with employers to request practicum opportunities for students for designated programs
- Plan & facilitate externship Orientation sessions and prepare package documentation for students to ensure successful transition into work environment
- Receive and track student externship attendance records on a weekly basis
- Facilitate externship exit process with students to verify completion of requirements and collect documentation for school records
- Manage receipt and verification of medical immunization forms
- Oversee collection of VSS Police Clearance forms from new students and submit to concerned Police Department for processing
- Prepare program completion letters
- Electronically circulate employment opportunities from external partners to program graduates
- Maintain communication by phone and email with program graduates at designated intervals to determine employment status
- Maintain internal KPI reporting metrics for graduate employment
- Assess graduate employment support needs and refer to Employment Specialist as required
- Communicate new hires to campus staff
- Write and distribute Current Student Letters as requested
- Ordering textbooks and complete inventory checks
- Work professionally in a team environment
- Other duties as requested by the Campus Director/Administrator
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 1–2 years experience in postsecondary education, academic advising, or program coordination preferred
- Strong organizational, communication and time-management skills; able to prioritize tasks independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail; comfortable working with data and tracking systems
- Strong problem-solving ability, particularly in fast-paced environments
- Professional, responsive, and dependable under pressure
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., finance, administration, or education) is preferred.
- Experience in financial aid or administrative roles is an asset.
- Familiarity with OSAP processes is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google platform and ability to learn new systems.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages will be an asset.

Position Details:
- Full-time, in-person role
- Salary range: $44,000 – $46,000 annually
- Start date: Will be advised.
- Location: Hamilton campus in-person.
