Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a culture of safety by adhering to the project’s OH&S management system and applicable safety and environmental regulations.
  • Assist in monitoring project performance, including cost, schedule, and quality metrics.
  • Support the planning and updating of work schedules and assist in tracking construction progress, including subcontractor coordination.
  • Maintain and distribute current project documentation, including plans, specifications, cost estimates, and subcontracts.
  • Assist in preparing invoices, progress claims, and payment certificates.
  • Ensure project cost coding procedures are followed and cost requirements are met.
  • Contribute to project close-out activities, including warranty package preparation, turnover documentation, and site demobilization.
  • Support quality assurance and control efforts by maintaining checklists and verifying compliance with contract requirements.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Manager or Segment Manager

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in a university or technical college program in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (GDL acceptable).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Service-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and deadlines.
