Dufferin Aggregates, a division of CRH Canada is looking to hire a Student - Soil Importation Coordinator to join their growing team!

Reporting into the Operations Manager, the Soil Coordinator will be responsible for, overseeing the Soil Management operation for Dufferin Aggregates and supporting the growth of Soil Management line of business by providing the necessary direction to optimize and maximize soil importation operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise contractors and hourly employees to ensure daily operations align with company objectives.
- Act as the Qualified Person (QP) to assess environmental documentation for material importation suitability.
- Ensure compliance with OH&S legislation and company safety policies, including training requirements.
- Maintain and communicate shipping and importation schedules to management.
- Coordinate daily operations to meet delivery targets and customer needs.
- Represent the company during regulatory site visits (MOL, MNR, MOE).
- Support site rehabilitation efforts in line with approved plans.
- Assist Site Manager and Superintendent with special projects and initiatives.
- Ensure environmental quality control standards are met at both source and receiving sites.
Requirements:
- Enrolled in 1st or 2nd year of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Applied Technology.
- Technical knowledge of aggregate, concrete, or construction materials.
- Familiarity with Excess Soil Regulations; ability to act as a Qualified Person (QP).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge an asset.
- Flexible to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime.
