GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
As a member of the Care Services Division management team and a clinical leader in the department, the Site Manager, Radiation Therapy is responsible and accountable for supervising the daily organization and administration of the department.
The Site Manager, Radiation Therapy monitors compliance with radiation therapy practice standards to ensure that high quality treatments are administered to cancer patients requiring radiation therapy. The Site Manager ensures the work environment enables and supports excellence in radiation therapy practice and promotes high quality of work life and safety for department staff and safe, high-quality care for patients.
The Site Manager, Radiation Therapy oversees the day-to-day operations of the Saskatchewan School of Radiation Therapy
The Site Manager may be expected to act in the absence of the Provincial Leader.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preference will be given to those who possess a bachelor's degree in science preferably in Radiation Therapy. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Five years supervisory experience in a radiation therapy position.
- Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification:
- Licensed with the Saskatchewan Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (SAMRT)
- Membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Certification for Basic Life Saver(BLS)-C
- Designated a Nuclear Energy Worker under the Nuclear Safety and Control Act.

- Strong leadership, business and interpersonal proficiency.
- Ability to motivate and coach employees, teams and departments to achieve Agency goals and department objectives.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with many individuals and groups including staff, students, unions and the general public.
- Knowledge of culturally responsive care for First Nations and Métis people.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Proven skills in leadership, management, interpersonal, oral and written communication including the ability to manage time, change and conflict.
- Advanced computer skills
