Position Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Foreman to lead on-site operations. This individual will play a key role in maintaining site productivity, quality standards, and safety, while working closely with site supervisors, project managers, and general contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation of interior and exterior steel stud framing, drywall boarding, and taping on commercial sites
- Supervise and direct crews of 5–15 workers, ensuring productivity and quality
- Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications and provide accurate layout on all job applications.
- Plan daily and weekly work schedules and manage crew assignments
- Coordinate deliveries, material usage, and on-site logistics
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with Ontario Building Code and company standards
- Act as primary on-site point of contact for site supervisors, GCs and our project managers.
- Maintain job site organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance
- Mentor apprentices and help develop junior crew members
- Monitor labour hours, track progress, and report daily to management
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in the trade
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman position
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction layouts
- Proven track record managing crews and delivering projects on schedule
- Knowledge of building envelope systems, fire-rating assemblies, building code and insulation installations
- Working at Heights, WHMIS, and other relevant health & safety certifications required
- Must hold a valid G-class driver’s license and have reliable transportation
- Ability to work across various sites throughout the GTA
- Must be willing to work on tools
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
