Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Scuba Diving Instructor/Sales Associate. In this role, you will have the opportunity to share your passion for diving with scuba students and provide expert guidance on equipment selection, to contribute to the overall success of our dive shop.
Responsibilities:
Tasks vary depending on the schedule but include:
- Teach PADI/SDI scuba diving courses
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate scuba diving gear, including wetsuits, masks, fins, and other accessories
- Provide knowledgeable advice on scuba diving techniques, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance
- Conduct retail transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing payments and managing inventory
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of the retail space, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for customers
- Participate in promotional events and community outreach initiatives
- Contribute to the overall success of the team by supporting colleagues and collaborating on various projects as needed
Requirements:
- PADI/SDI Instructor or Divemaster
- Cold-water diving experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Being able to legally work in Canada
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Freediving instructor/freediving knowledge preferred
