Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Salon Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Salon Receptionist will play a vital role in enhancing the client experience while supporting the salon's operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly as they enter the salon and provide assistance as needed.
- Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations using salon management software.
- Handle cashiering duties, including cash handling and processing payments accurately.
- Upsell salon services and products to enhance client satisfaction and increase sales.
- Conduct product demos to educate clients about available products and services.
- Maintain an organized reception area, ensuring it is clean and inviting.
- Communicate effectively with stylists and other staff members to coordinate client needs.
- Address client inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking product levels and placing orders as necessary.
- Making client drinks like coffee, lattes, teas and serving alcoholic beverages.

Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a salon or retail environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage time effectively while juggling multiple tasks.
- Experience with cashiering and cash handling procedures is preferred.
- Skills in upselling services or products to enhance customer experience.
- Familiarity with technology sales or salon management software is a plus.
- A positive attitude, professionalism, and a passion for the beauty industry are essential.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- ProServe is an asset.
- Background in Direct Billing would be an asset.
