JOB SUMMARY
As TressMyr Beauty Studio enters an exciting new phase of growth, we’re looking for an organized and driven Salon Manager to help take our business to the next level. We specialize in braiding, wig services, and textured hair care, and we’re seeking someone who can oversee daily operations, ensure customer satisfaction, and support our team while keeping the salon running efficiently.
This part-time role is perfect for someone with strong leadership, operations, and organizational skills, with a passion for beauty and delivering exceptional service.
DUTIES
- Welcome clients, accept and schedule walk-ins and appointments, ensuring a smooth and exceptional client experience.
- Supervise, motivate, and provide feedback to the stylists to foster a positive and productive team environment.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and products; place and track orders as needed.
- Handle basic accounting tasks such as tracking sales, recording expenses, and preparing simple reports.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, or complaints professionally to maintain satisfaction.
- Contribute to marketing and promotional efforts to attract and retain clients.
- Ensure the salon remains clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation standards.
- Track key performance metrics, provide feedback to ownership, and recommend improvements monthly.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in salon, retail, hospitality, or operations management is preferred.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead and inspire a team.
- Comfort with basic accounting and recordkeeping.
- Must have reliable transportation (preferably a car) for commuting and occasional supply runs.
- Basic computer skills (scheduling software, spreadsheets, email) are an asset.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
