Your Role: Quarry Rock Driller
As a Quarry Rock Driller, you'll play a key role in the safe and efficient extraction of rock using state-of-the-art drilling equipment. You'll be responsible for everything from pre-op inspections to collaborating on precise blast patterns.
What You’ll Do
- Operate hydraulic and pneumatic drill rigs (e.g., Atlas Copco D60, Furukawa DCR20)
- Drill blast holes according to engineered patterns and specifications
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance of equipment
- Work closely with blasting crews to ensure proper hole placement and depth
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized drill sites and access roads
- Keep accurate records of drilling operations and equipment status
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Assist with other equipment and safety tasks as needed
What You Bring
- 3+ years of drilling experience (quarry or mining preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor issues
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills
- Ability to read drilling patterns and operational manuals
Bonus if you have:
- Surface Miner Common Core or equivalent certification
- Familiarity with quarry production standards and materials
- Experience with Atlas Copco or Furukawa drill rigs Why Work With Us?
