Roam Services Inc. has an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to begin a career in the directional drilling industry.
We are hiring for a Driller/Locator and are placing a strong emphasis on finding the right person, regardless of their previous experience.
Of course experience is an asset; however, even without extensive construction/related experience, as long as you're looking to learn to drill and locate, are a reliable, punctual, and meticulous person, this would be a great opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn to operate a directional drilling rig, hydrovac/airvac, and locating equipment under expert supervision for the purpose of utility installation.
- Assist the crew with all aspects of a project, from setup to completion.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures without exception.
- Read and interpret project plans and blueprints with guidance from senior team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Work in an intelligent and meticulous manner.
Qualifications:
Required for consideration:
- A demonstrated strong work ethic and a commitment to reliability.
- A positive, team-first attitude and the ability to take direction well.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- The physical ability to perform manual labor in outdoor conditions.
- A strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- No prior drilling or locating experience is required.
Assets (Preferred but not required):
- Previous experience in construction, utility construction, oil and gas, or another skilled trade.
- Relevant safety tickets (e.g., First Aid, Ground Disturbance, WHMIS).
- Ability to back up and drive with a trailer.

Pay: $18.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 55 per week
