*please read full description* Looking for a driller's helper to work with our soil drilling company.
This is a labour intensive job working in ALL weather conditions. A license is required to drive a pick-up truck. Access to your own vehicle to ensure you can make it to the job every day is encouraged. Experience towing large trailers and equipment is an asset as well. There is heavy lifting and repetitive movements.
Rate of pay is $20/hr hour for driving and working in the shop, bumped up to $30/hr when drilling. Rate of pay can be negotiated if you have a valid DZ/AR license. Weekends may be requested but not required. Hours worked in a day vary from half days to 10-11 hour days, and sometimes out of town work.
Knowledge of construction sites is an asset, steel toe boots are required, as well as a hard hat and ear protection.
You will arrive at the company location (Bowmanville) in the morning, generally between 6-6:30, then drive to the worksite with the driller (Toronto, Wasaga, Peterborough, etc.).
Unfortunately for insurance purposes we can only hire 25 years of age or older. Clean driving history (within 3 years) is a must.
