Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Renovator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various construction and renovation tasks, demonstrating proficiency in residential projects. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve high-quality results. Candidate must possess proven construction work experience. Please do not apply if you do not have experience in residential construction, skills will be tested during first two weeks on work. Wages can be negotiated for the right fit.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute renovation projects accurately.
- Lead demolition/digging work as per planned renovations.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
- Lead framing, drywall, paint, flooring, finishing, minimum roofing/soffit/fascia/siding work and closing of a project
- Perform basic concrete forming and finishing to ensure durable surfaces.
- Install cabinets, flooring, tiles, and perform caulking for finishing touches on projects.
- Conduct restoration tasks on existing structures while maintaining historical accuracy where applicable.
- Operate heavy equipment safely during renovation projects when required.
- Run project timelines accurately to ensure efficient project management.
- Manage 2-4 person team mix of entry level construction workers and members with 1-2 years of experience, act as a mentor/leader/teacher for the team to achieve project goals efficiently and create productive work week that leads to healthy work- personal life balance.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on renovations.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to create a professional work environment that shares same goals and develop skills together for future growth.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of each project.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of construction schematics.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation.
- Strong background in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, flooring installation, tile laying, construction painting, finishing carpentry and concrete forming/finishing.
- Familiarity with restoration techniques for both residential and commercial properties is preferred.
