Career Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Renovator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential renovations, with the ability to work on various types projects; including bathrooms, kitchens, basements, home additions & more. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, high-quality workmanship - and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Demo to finishing: undertaking all components of a renovation;
- Ability to read blueprints/layouts - and execute the planned scope of work;
- Coordinating and overseeing our subs (ie. electrical, plumbing);
- Communicating with clients as the project progresses - keeping everyone up-to-date on timelines, change orders and/or extras;
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment;
- Keeping your projects on track - and on time.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in renovation or construction roles, with a strong understanding of OBC & residential practices
- Experience with bathroom renovations, including tile work, would be a major asset
- Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials when necessary.
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication & attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Positive attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn -- or teach!
