Job Summary
We are looking for a warm, organized, and friendly Receptionist to join our team at Muskoka Hills Retirement Villa. As the first point of contact for residents, families, staff, and visitors, the Receptionist plays a key role in creating a welcoming environment and supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of our front desk.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist residents, families, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails to the appropriate staff or departments.
- Help coordinate communication between residents, families, and team members.
- Provide general information and support to families regarding visits, services, and resident needs.
- Engage with residents in a respectful and compassionate way throughout the day.
- Assist with basic clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and organizing resident records.
- Handle mail and deliveries, and distribute internal communications as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping in the reception and common areas (e.g., wiping surfaces, tidying).
- Support team members and leadership with other administrative or resident-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, customer service, or front desk role is helpful but not required.
- Comfortable using phones, email, and basic office equipment.
- Friendly, professional, and patient when interacting with residents, families, and staff.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team environment.
- A genuine interest in working with seniors and contributing to a caring, respectful community.
