Job Description:

Job Summary

This position assists the Package operations with new and annual training of Drivers, Clerks and Local Sorters. They are responsible for analyzing dispatch plans, identifying areas of opportunity, report and service audits.

Job-Type: Permanent | Part-Time

Location: 29 Industrial Drive Sydney, NS B1P 7E7 Canada

Workdays: Monday to Friday

Shift: 7am - 12pm (Flexibility required depending on operational needs)

Compensation: $21.14/hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Verifies system downloads.
  • Identifies various service failures and exceptions.
  • Makes necessary report updates and communicates changes to PDS.
  • Utilizes mapping tools.
  • Plots previous data and compares actual dispatch to planned dispatch.
  • Maintains a loop analysis to ensure periodic analysis of all loops.
  • Utilizes available reports and systems.
  • Completes monthly dispatch audit.
  • Completes routine training of employees.
  • Trains New hires. (Drivers, Sorters and Clerks)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred.
  • Dispatch Planning System (DPS) and UDC knowledge - Preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products or equivalent software.
  • Customer-focused with strong planning and organization skills.
  • Familiar with package flow technologies - Preferred.
  • Driver's license required.
  • Flexibility with hours required.
