Project Superintendent

Job Summary

Laurent Leblanc Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Superintendent to oversee excavation and sewer works construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on the job site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and management software.

Duties

• Supervise all phases of construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate project progress.
• Utilize construction management software such as HCSS for project tracking and reporting.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
• Review blueprints, schematics, and project plans to ensure accurate execution of work.
• Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Manage project budgets, including estimating costs and controlling expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction management software including Excel and Microsoft Project.
• Familiarity with construction estimating techniques and budgeting practices.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills and ability to interpret schematics effectively.
• Demonstrated experience in quality control processes within construction projects.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,769.81-$100,000.00 per year

Education:

• Master's Degree (preferred)

Experience:

• Supervising: 5 years (preferred)
• Sewer and Water : 5 years (preferred)
