Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our meat processing team. The successful candidates will support meat cutting operations by opening packages, packaging meat products, and lifting items up to 35 lbs. This is a physically demanding role in a fast-paced, cold-storage environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist meat cutters by opening boxes and preparing raw meat products.
- Package and label meat products according to company specifications.
- Lift, move, and stack meat products weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Operate basic meat processing tools and equipment safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
- Follow all safety, hygiene, and food handling procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in food processing, production, or similar physical work is an asset.
- Physically fit; able to lift up to 35 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in cold/refrigerated environments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Fluency in the Chinese language is a strong advantage.
- Food Handler Certification is an advantage.
- Familiarity with meat cuts, safe handling practices, and cutting tools is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.50-$19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 – 45 per week
