Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen by assisting with meal preparation and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Follow recipes and instructions from chefs to ensure consistency and quality in meal preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety protocols, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning tasks at the end of shifts.
Skills
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
