Looking for a dedicated, hard-working part/full-time Prep-Cook for Winnipeg's largest meal prep service.

Responsibilities for Prep Cook.
- Prepare ingredients then cook and assemble dishes as indicated by recipes
- Perform portion control and minimize waste to keep cost within forecasted range
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner by restocking ingredients at work station and meeting prep times to ensure smooth delivery
- Set up and clean station according to health standard protocol
- Maintain a clean work station area, including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelves
- Comply with applicable sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards
- Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the line supervisor, sous-chef, or executive chef
- Contribute to meal and menu designs
- Managing Prep Charts
- Ensuring cleanliness of the kitchen
- Preparing all the raw ingredients for meals
- Cooking all ingredients into meals
- Reading customer orders and packing meals to be shipped.
- Dishwasher
- Working with airline catering and upholding standards set by company and auditors
Qualifications:
- Kitchen experience an asset
- At least 1-2 years of experience working in a team setting
- 1-2 years Kitchen or Restaurant or Catering Experience
- Early morning start times
- Line Cook Experience
- Prepare, season, and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Oversee kitchen operations
- Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies, and equipment
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
- Must have valid drivers licence
- Understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skills
- Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
- Ability to read and follow cooking directions
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Must be organized and self-motivated
- Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, and lift, and carry heavy materials

Salary: Starting at $16.00/hour
Part-time hours: 25 - 35 per week
