We are looking for a hard-working Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This position is a day shift and includes weekdays and weekends.
The Prep Cook performs basic cooking duties, cold prep, sandwich & salad stations, monitors stock levels, and takes on culinary tasks as they arise and deliveries when needed.
The successful candidate will be a team player and must understand and be willing to comply with food and sanitation guidelines and regulations, be quick and diligent, and willing to help in various areas of the kitchen. You should be able to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment. On the job training will be provided.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Culinary school training or experience as a prep cook would be an asset.
- Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives.
- Strong team working and communication skills.
- Physical endurance to work in a busy environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
