Crystal Clear Water Centres is a leading provider of water treatment and purification equipment in the Tri-City area. We are seeking a seasoned professional with plumbing experience to lead the day-to-day operation of our service and installation department. This position is well suited for a licensed plumber who would like to continue to spend time in the field while developing management skills. The role combines technical expertise, leadership, quality management, and a focus on training to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and organizational growth.
Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Plan, coordinate and direct the overall daily operations of the Service department.
- Set performance standards and goals for the team, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
- Foster a collaborative environment to encourage knowledge sharing and innovation.
- Provide leadership and mentoring by evaluating and developing the strengths of the department personnel while maintaining a staffing level consistent with business activity. Includes ability to recruit, hire and train department employees.
- Plan and coordinate all service work and installation projects. This includes willingness to provide on site support and backup for technicians.
- Handle customer service quotations, questions and follow up in a professional manner.
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues, providing timely and effective resolutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with sales and customer service team by answering technical questions, designing job specifications and passing along sales leads generated through service calls.
- Provide input into ongoing enhancements and upgrades of product lines and service offerings.
- Provide occasional after-hours customer support as required.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years progressive experience in the Plumbing and/or Home Services Industries. Certification an asset.
- Must possess strong people management, leadership and professional skills with a demonstrated training and coaching aptitude.
- Previous management experience an asset.
- Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and planning abilities.
- Ability to learn and use technology including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to demonstrate aptitude for gaining additional knowledge of servicing and installing plumbing equipment and accessories.
- Demonstrated commitment to the delivery of customer-focused service and installations.
- Clean driving record is required.
