Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various plumbing and Gas tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems. This role requires a thorough understanding of plumbing schematics and the ability to work with HVAC and Gas systems. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain Gas systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
- Diagnose issues with plumbing systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Work with Gas / Furnace systems as needed to ensure proper integration with plumbing installations.
- Utilize welding techniques for pipe fitting and repairs as required.
- Conduct appliance repairs related to plumbing systems, ensuring all appliances function efficiently.
- Collaborate with other technicians and tradespeople to complete projects on time and within specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Gas Technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various plumbing issues effectively.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
- Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings related to plumbing installations.
- Ability to weld and perform pipe fitting tasks as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
