As a youthful and progressive organization, we take pride in our innovative approach to mechanical services. Elevate Mechanical Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Plumbing Foreman to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing on-site operations, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards while effectively communicating with team members and stakeholders
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Report directly to the Site Manager for projects and customer service needs.
- Lead and mentor a crew of 6+ Journeymen and Apprentice Plumbers on diverse projects and jobs.
- Install all materials, equipment, and systems in a proficient and correct manner to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Perform quality control inspections to exceed client expectations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Act as the right hand to our Project Manager by planning and coordinating sub-trades and identifying efficiencies and cost-savings to maximize project success.
- Proactively manage on-site tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to help resolve issues.
- Ensuring installations comply with applicable codes and regulations, coordinating inspections as needed.
- Ensuring compliance with the company's Operational Health and Safety Manual.
- Location of Current secured work: Burnaby, Vancouver, Surrey, Delta and other parts of Lower Mainland.
- Scope 80% plumbing and the other 20% is heating, cooling, hydronic systems (including industrial work).
- Manage the installation of commercial plumbing and hydronics systems;
- Maintain project schedules and understand methods and be accountable;
- Stay up-to-date with all current health and safety practices and procedures;
- Abide by and promote a safe system of work for all;
- Implement task-specific Method Statements, Tool Box Talks, and Risk Assessments;
- Interpret construction and schematic drawings, technical literature, and equipment specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply and drainage systems, and:
- Install foundation plumbing, sumps and other parts of the foundation plumbing;
- Measure, cut and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines;
- Join pipes using System 15, ABS, Brazing, Soldering, Cast iron pipe, Pex piping;
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges;
- Manage the installation of bathtubs, shower drains, finishing trim of fixtures etc.
- Clean work spaces as you go;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- 2+ years of experience as a Plumbing Foreman on commercial sites.
- Previous experience as a Lead Hand or Working Foreman is considered an asset.
- Red Seal Plumber Certification.
- Positive and driven leader with experience managing small teams and projects.
- Proficiency in plumbing installations with some knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding and exposure to industry-safe work practices (safety is a priority for us!).
- Outstanding time and project management skills to complete work on time and within budget.
- Self-motivated with the ability to maintain productivity without supervision.
- Reliable and dependable team player that shows up on time.
- Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn new systems and technology.
- You bring solutions to any roadblock that comes up on the job.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
- Proficiency in construction estimating and budgeting practices.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam software for document management and collaboration.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret complex schematics.
- Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills to manage teams effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality control and safety on the job site.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on project goals.
- Level 1 First Aid (considered an asset)
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) (considered an asset)
- Possess personal hand tools for the trade. Enersolv will provide any additional company-related tools.

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
