Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pipelayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating various types of heavy equipment. As a Pipelayer, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of waterlines, sewer line, storm lines as well as power/telecommunication lines in residential construction setting. At Offset Excavating, we ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes for water, sewage, and other utilities.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, to assist in installation of pipes
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks related to scope of work
- Perform rigging operations to safely lift and position materials as needed.
- Conduct inspections of installed pipes to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition through regular checks and basic repairs.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with excavator and backhoe operation is essential.
- Experience with underground electrical is a plus.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools is desirable.
- Ability to perform rigging tasks safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.

Pay: $23.00-$32.00 per hour
