We are seeking a dedicated and organized Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will work closely with our physiotherapists to provide support and assistance in delivering high-quality care to our patients. Your role will involve a combination of administrative tasks and direct patient care.
Duties
- Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans for patients
- Set up equipment and prepare treatment areas for therapy sessions
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities
- Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions
- Provide support and assistance to patients during therapy sessions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas
- Perform clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, filing documents, and managing patient records
- Utilize organizational skills to keep track of patient schedules and ensure smooth flow of appointments
- Use Outlook Calendar to schedule appointments and manage therapist schedules
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their therapy sessions
- Use DocuSign to obtain necessary signatures on consent forms and other documents
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or training as a Physiotherapy Assistant is preferred
- Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent clerical skills, including typing and data entry accuracy
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and ability to communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals
