Job Title: In-Home Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA)
Location: Scarborough, ON
Schedule: Part-time – 3 days/week (Flexible hours)
SereneAID is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) to support a client with neurological conditions, including inflammatory radiculopathy and muscle weakness. The client follows a care plan designed by a licensed physiotherapist.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with range-of-motion and prescribed physiotherapy exercises
- Prioritize client safety, comfort, and emotional well-being during each session
- Provide encouraging and empathetic support to foster progress
- Observe and report changes or concerns to the supervising clinician or family
- Follow the physiotherapist’s care plan with attention to detail
Requirements
- Certified Physiotherapy Assistant or equivalent rehab training
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification
- Clear Police Criminal Record Check
- Experience working with neurological conditions is an asset
- Calm, professional, and compassionate approach to client care
Note: No lifts, transfers, or specialized equipment involved.
