Position Summary
The HR Coordinator provides administrative support for HR functions, ensuring the smooth execution of HR operations. This role assists with recruitment, employee records management, benefits administration, and HR communications.
Key Responsibilities
HR Administrative Support
- Maintain and update employee records and manage HRIS data.
- Assist in drafting HR communications and policy updates.
- Provide administrative support for HR projects and initiatives.
- Assist with job postings, candidate screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Coordinate new hire paperwork and orientation sessions to ensure a positive onboarding experience.
- Process employee benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Support payroll coordination and time tracking, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and payroll.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs and initiatives.
- Assist in the coordination of training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Support the performance review process, through tracking annual reviews, ensuring reviews go into employee files, along with any other relevant performance review documentation.
- Help identify training needs and develop training materials and resources.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a business-related field.
- 1-3 years of P&C experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with P&C systems such as Dayforce, Office 365, Deputy, XRef, or Traits is considered an asset.
- Must pass criminal record check including vulnerable sector clearance.
- This is a full-time, non-remote position that requires an in-person presence in our Edmonton, Alberta office.
