About the Clinic
Springboard Clinic is a place where neurodiverse individuals, their families, and the clinicians who support them feel seen, respected and energized by meaningful work. We specialize in ADHD and related mental health profiles and take a collaborative, whole-person approach to the care we provide.
Since opening our doors, our promise has been to offer people with ADHD:
- Insight into how their brains work in unique and interesting ways
- Support tailored to their needs and where they are in their journey
- Hope for a future free of barriers and a life filled with opportunity
- Power through recognizing their hidden strength and untapped potential
- Understanding that combines expertise with the instincts of the heart
With years of experience behind us, we’re excited to be growing – and we’re now looking for two (2) part-time psychotherapists to join our team who are passionate about neurodiversity and client-centered care.
About the Role
As a Springboard Psychotherapist, you will work under the supervision of a registered Psychotherapist or registered Social Worker, alongside a warm and collaborative multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with clients of all ages to design treatment plans that target ADHD (and/or ASD) symptom management strategies, increasing awareness of their strengths and values, while supporting their individual mental health needs. You’ll also work directly with parents—helping them develop strategies to manage ADHD at home, better understand their own needs as caregivers, to create a family environment where everyone can thrive.
Our clinicians draw on a variety of treatment modalities to empower clients of all ages, while keeping in mind the day-to-day presence of ADHD symptoms.
Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person psychotherapy services to clients of all ages (children, adolescents, adults, and parents), based on client case conceptualization and needs.
- Provide direct support to parents and caregivers.
- Develop treatment goals and plans in collaboration with clients, as discussed with the clinical supervisor.
- Contact and schedule clients from the Clinic's Master Treatment List to maintain caseload responsibilities.
- Maintain a caseload of 4 client hours per day on average, including scheduling future sessions with clients.
- Maintain up-to-date clinical session notes, engage in professionally appropriate client communications, provide client letters, and complete client forms as necessary.
- Communicate with relevant third parties as needed (e.g., parents, schools, other treatment providers).
- Adhere to PHIPA guidelines and maintain client confidentiality, as well as follow the Clinic's procedures.
- Participate in clinical consultation with peers as needed, monthly peer supervision, and bi-weekly individual supervision.
- Work on site at the Clinic's Toronto location – 40 Holly Street.
Required Skills:
- A Master's degree in psychology, psychotherapy, social work, counselling, or a related mental health field is required.
- A successful candidate is a fully registered member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), a regulatory body identified as able to deliver psychotherapy services in Ontario.
- 3-5 years of clinical/treatment experience working with individuals with a wide range of clinical presentations, including ADHD.
- Experience in providing treatment services to adults age 40+ and parents.
- Experience providing treatment services to individuals with ASD is an asset.
- A positive, non-judgmental, and inclusive approach to care and team work is essential.
Our Commitment to Equity
