Overview:
Elk Falls Provincial Park (Quinsam Campground).
Looking for a cool summer job, helping maintain and operate one of Vancouver Island's top Provincial Parks and campgrounds? We'd like to hear from you!
You will play a vital role in providing daily upkeep, care and support to provincial park facilities, and serving park visitors throughout the camping season.
Duties:
- Ensure that all campsites, washrooms and day use areas are well-maintained regularly, so that the park is clean and pristine (weed trimming, grass cutting and pruning also reqiuired)
- Provide excellent guest service and information to park visitors
- Collect permit fees and issue provincial camping permits (training provided)
- Sell firewood to campers
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all visitors
Requirements:
- Must pass and provide an RCMP records check for 'working with vulnerable persons sector'
- Proficiency in cash handling is advantageous
- Friendly and hardworking
- Experience in trails maintenance, gardening, landscaping an asset
