About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Overnight Print & Shipping Technician to join our studio team. This position is crucial to keeping production running smoothly outside of daytime hours. You will operate our large-format printer to produce high-quality fine art prints and canvases (with wallpaper production to follow), and prepare artwork for packaging and shipping the next day.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain large-format printers to produce fine art prints, canvases, and wallpaper.
- Monitor print quality, ensuring accurate colors, sharpness, and consistency across orders.
- Perform routine printer maintenance (loading media, inks, troubleshooting minor issues).
- Package fine art prints and canvases with precision and care, following established handling standards.
- Prepare shipping labels and organize completed orders for next-day dispatch.
- Keep the studio workspace organized, clean, and production-ready.
- Communicate any supply needs, technical issues, or order concerns to the team lead.
Qualifications
- Experience with large-format printers (Epson, Canon, HP, or similar) preferred, but training can be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently overnight.
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills (printer jams, calibration, etc.).
- Comfortable lifting and handling artwork and shipping materials (up to 50 lbs).
