Overnight Dog Care Attendant – The Enrichment Center (Whoa Doggie)

Hours: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Casual to start
Are you a night owl who loves dogs? We’re looking for a dependable, compassionate, and dog-savvy individual to join our team as an Overnight Dog Care Attendant at our new Enrichment Center! This role is perfect for someone with a passion for animal welfare, who is confident working independently and ensuring dogs are safe, comfortable, and calm through the night.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and supervise dogs in our overnight care facility, ensuring a calm and safe environment
- Perform frequent welfare checks and monitor for signs of stress, illness, or unusual behavior
- Provide potty breaks, fresh water, and bedding adjustments as needed
- Administer medications and follow feeding instructions when applicable
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, including overnight cleaning tasks
- Document observations and report any issues to management
- Ensure security protocols are followed throughout the facility during overnight hours
- Respond to emergencies or incidents calmly and efficiently
- Provide gentle companionship and reassurance to dogs during nighttime hours
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with dogs (kennel, daycare, shelter, veterinary, or pet sitting) preferred
- Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically capable of standing, walking, and cleaning throughout the shift
- Reliable and punctual with a calm, caring demeanor
- Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in Canada
