At Social Corner, our Prep Cooks are essential members of the kitchen team, working under the guidance of the Head Chef to deliver consistently exceptional dishes. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to Social Corner’s exacting standards of quality and presentation.
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency in flavour and portion sizes.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation throughout service.
- Assist with daily food preparation to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and seamless service during busy periods.
- Uphold strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
- Handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and a focus on quality.
- Participate in regular team meetings and training to improve skills and performance.
- Contribute to a positive kitchen environment by fostering teamwork and mutual respect.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in hospitality Prep
- Strong understanding of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment.
- A passion for creating flavourful, high-quality dishes.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions with attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
- Flexible schedule required - Must be available on Weekends, including mandatory Sundays, late evenings and early mornings.
- Valid Food Safe certification.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
