Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Band Instrument Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in repairing and maintaining brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments. You will play a vital role in ensuring our clients' instruments are performing at their best, whether they are used by beginners, professionals, or schools.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and diagnose issues with band instruments, including brass and woodwind instruments.
- Perform repairs and maintenance, ensuring instruments are in optimal playing condition.
- Adjust and align components for proper functionality and sound quality.
- Replace or repair damaged parts, such as pads, valves, and keys.
- Provide accurate repair estimates and timelines to customers.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and service history.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and repair techniques.
- Offer excellent customer service by addressing customer questions and concerns.
Qualifications:
- Experience in band instrument repair (certification or formal training is a plus).
- Proficiency with repair tools and techniques for brass, woodwind, guitar, violin and percussion instruments.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
