Capacity Building - School Coordinator

Light of Christ Catholic Schools is looking for a committed School Coordinator to lead our Mental Health Capacity Building (MHCB) initiative. This role involves championing mental health and wellness across our school communities by providing leadership and fostering meaningful partnerships.

This is a FULL-TIME TEMPORARY position (1.0 FTE)

Commencement date: July 1, 2025 and terminating on June 30, 2026 with a strong potential of extension based on funding

Location: Central Board Office


The successful candidate must possess well-developed interpersonal skills, demonstrate initiative, be able to work independently, and maintain a positive and supportive attitude in a team environment. Applicants must have post-secondary training in a health or social science field (e.g., health promotion and prevention) or equivalent post-secondary education and experience in a related field. A minimum of three years of experience is considered an asset. Applicants must have a solid understanding of youth development and mental health and wellness strategies. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with schools and community organizations to develop and implement action plans.
  • Coordinate and participate in mental health awareness initiatives and events.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to MHCB staff, ensuring high-quality and consistent program delivery.
  • Evaluate program outcomes and support ongoing improvement efforts.
  • Oversee budgeting and ensure accurate financial reporting.
