Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team within our addiction recovery clinic, opening soon. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative and clinical tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for patients.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and appointment processes.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Collect patient information, including medical history, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and complete patient intakes.
- Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Monitors and performs urine drug screening.
- Maintains operations by following Policies and Procedures
- Capture patients’ Last Confirmed Dose, medication lists, medical records, etc., when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within an addictions or medical office is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication with healthcare providers and patients.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to provide outstanding customer service in a busy environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic setting.
